Dili 13-03-2024 (TVDJ) – According to Filipe Soares states that, it is been for ten years theirs’ life was depended of the sand in the river, because that sand could gave life to them in order to respond to all the necessity of the family.
Even though Filipe Soares still 20 years old he didn’t continue his study as a student as other teenager who is the same age as him, but he always looking for different ways to filter the sand in the Comoro River in order to complete the necessity of their daily life.
“My daily life was in the river it’s only for filter the sand to earn a living in order to sustains my own life and some of the money will send to my parents that live in my hometown to support my younger brothers’ study.” Said by Filipe Soares in Comoro River
He continues that in this rainy season they cannot do their activity to filter the sand because resulting of heavy rain gave impact to their activity, but if there was a place that dry and scavenger car can enter the river then they will continue filter the sand in order to make money.
Nonetheless, in this rainy season, sometimes their partner came and transport one ret of sand with price $15, sometimes $12, in whole day their partner only take one ret but if they luch they could sold three ret per day.
“I feel heartbreaking, while in rainy season we filter the sand, because the river flows and broke all the sand that we already filter, but we keep filtering because that’s how our necessity life’s need.” Said by Filipe Soares in Comoro River.
To explain the details about Filipe’s life is only depends on the sand that he filtered in the river even while it’s rainy season or summer, Filipe doesn’t feel tired or bored, because it is how he effort to look for a living for his family’s necessity.
